Looking for a Painter on the Lower East Side of New York City?
I met with David Trevisan of David's Painting where he and his partner own an apartment painting business on the Lower East Side of New York City. I have known David for about three months. I met him after I saw the ads popping up in our apartment building. He and his partner currently advertise their business on various bulletin boards in a number of neighborhoods. Their business relies on phone calls and texts that they receive from the postings. Referrals are starting to come in. Their business started in August 2014, and David’s Painting will be celebrating its 3rd anniversary in 2017.
When David is not working at his painting business, you can find him exploring the city on long walks in search of live music and historical architecture. His favorite spots are places with ethnic food stores and restaurants. He is active with yoga, tennis and Nichiren Buddhism at Soka Gakkai International (SGI).

I think I would have been more varied in our marketing. We need to do more in terms of building a social media presence. Our main method of broadcasting is through postings in buildings. I would have instituted a broader array of marketing channels out of the box.

Scheduling the time to let more people know about the high quality work that we provide. As a small business we do all of the work ourselves so that our customer experience is very consistent and customer satisfaction is very high. If a customer was searching for a painter in the Lower East Side of New York City and had to choose between David's Painting and 3 others businesses just like it - why chose yours?
We do all the work ourselves; the business is owner operated. As owners, we actually travel to the client's apartment. My partner and I are doing all the work except on rare occasions if it's a big job where we will work with an additional person. Even the person we do work with, we know personally and know that he does consistent quality work. David’s Painting offers good value for the money. Our customers have always been satisfied with our work. People like what we do and we price our work competitively and our quality standards are very high.
